ECT Privacy Policy

The NQT Steering Group collects information and data relating to teacher forename and surnames, previous names, dates of birth, national insurance numbers, Teacher Reference Numbers, email addresses, performance and assessment data related to progress against the Teachers' Standards and completion of the Induction Year, Assessment Frameworks and notes of support visits.

This data is collected to enable the transfer of statutory data to The Teaching Regulation Agency as part of the Central Teacher Record. It is also shared with employing schools, members of the NQT Steering Group, other Local Authorities in Great Britain, NQT Manager, Teaching Schools and other organisations offering Appropriate Body Services in England where an NQT changes their employer during their Induction Year and with Professional Associations representing Newly Qualified Teachers, to ensure that information is transferred to enable the completion of a comprehensive induction plan including strengths, areas for development, targets, support and professional development to be prepared by the new employer or for support to be given to NQTs by their Professional Association.

It is only used for these purposes and is not shared with any other organisations.
